Semana Santa: “Todo cristão pode fazer esse caminho com Jesus”

A Igreja inicia a caminhada da Semana Santa, rumo à Páscoa. Confira as reflexões de dom Leonardo Steiner

A Igreja já está na Semana Santa, iniciada neste domingo (9), com a celebração dos Ramos da Paixão. Junto com Jesus, o povo de Deus entrou em Jerusalém. Ao longo da semana será vivenciado o caminho para o maior de todos os desafios que foi vencido: Jesus morreu e ressuscitou, trazendo a todos os que Nele creem a esperança de uma vida nova. Essa é a essência da celebração da Páscoa, a principal festa cristã. Segundo o bispo auxiliar de Brasília (DF) e secretário geral da Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil (CNBB), dom Leonardo Ulrich Steiner, este é o período de participação na entrega, na dor, no sofrimento, na morte, mas também na transformação e na ressurreição de Cristo.

“Todo cristão pode fazer esse caminho com Jesus. Fazer esse caminho é perceber que Jerusalém é o ápice de uma vida, de uma entrega, de uma presença de Deus no meio de nós que vai ter a culminância no mistério da morte”, ressalta o bispo.

Segundo dom Leonardo, “esse mistério profundo, quase incompreensível para o ser humano, é de um Deus que sofre, que se sente abandonado, mas de um Deus que é de uma entrega completa de amor. De uma confiança absoluta: ‘nas tuas mãos entrego meu espírito’. Isso é o ápice dessa grande transformação que se manifesta na ressurreição e na vida nova”.

A preparação para este momento começou na Quaresma, o período de 40 dias entre a Quarta-feira de Cinzas e o Domingo de Ramos. Os textos litúrgicos da celebração pascal mostram quais os passos que Jesus vai dando neste período e apresenta uma reflexão de como os cristãos devem seguir os passos de Jesus. Dom Leonardo ressalta a importância da participação intensa nas celebrações.

“As celebrações nos ajudam muito a perceber esse silêncio da Sexta-feira Santa, por exemplo. Esse gesto extraordinário de uma Quinta-feira Santa, de lavar os pés. Essa é uma das liturgias mais bonitas da Igreja, de benzermos o fogo, acender o Círio e estarmos na Vigília. Nessa vivência percebemos como uma história de salvação, libertação e de doação de Deus nos prepara para podermos ser cristão melhores, para sermos homens e mulheres que, a partir da fé, dão sentido a tudo, e sabem também dar uma palavra de sentido as outras pessoas, ser uma presença evangelizadora”, observa.

“A ressurreição de Jesus Cristo revela que Deus está do lado da vida. A Páscoa de Jesus é sinal da vitória possível sobre a morte e todos os males”, ensina dom Leonardo.
